"You aren’t able to get Michelin star food delivered to your home, and convenience doesn’t always mean quality." This resonated with me well beyond just food. Ah. I needed this today. Thank you so much for being here.
This whole entry really made me feel appreciative of slow living, or at least the attempt to really take in the small activities and be present in them. Especially since there never seems to be enough time in the mornings to take things slow...but I digress.
I just got a rock tumbler for my little one. He thinks rocks are treasure-we have rocks all over the house. But I realize that half of them are ones I’ve picked up
Lovely reminder of the “nothing good comes easy” maxim. But also…weren’t those rock tumbler machines pretty loud?! How’d y’all put up with the noise onside the house for 6 weeks at a time? 😅
I use this metaphor with my team all the time. We are all creatives, but the menfolk at my organization are impatient. But me? Well technically I'm the least patient of us all, but I also crave the slow, gradual progress that so often eludes me. Pretty sure my first friends were my rock collection, too... Thanks for this, Reid!

I’m glad this resonated Flor! ♥️✨

Aww I’m so happy to hear you are facilitating this awesome hobby for your kid!
I love your premise of your newsletter and I love this article, too. I always wanted a rock tumbler. I would love to see more of your rock collection!
I’m so glad you are enjoying my newsletter Jodi! Maybe you should get a rock tumbler.. it’s never too late. They are pretty affordable on amazon!
Oh tumbling rocks sounds fun, also great reminder for us all that good things take time

Yes... it was loud... but worth it! It was a tiny tumbler so not the worst.
What a special memory between you and your dad and the beautiful life lesson from it. 💕
Thanks Mika!

hahah I'm so happy to hear someone else had a rock collection as a kid! So cool that you use this metaphor with your team too.
Fairly certain a rock collection is a gateway drug to witchcraft haha!
Hahahaha LITERALLY the truth!
